  • I am currently accepting new clients for intensive work only in Spring 2025. If you are interested in intensive work, I’d love to set up a phone call to discuss your goals and together determine whether Intensive work might be a good fit for you.

  • Research shows that EMDR intensives can enable faster symptom reduction for clients with PTSD symptoms, with similar, or even better, results, while reducing the risk that patients drop out prematurely. Learn more here, here and here.

    Learn more about how EMDR Intensive therapy may be a good economic choice overall as it may result in fewer hours spent in therapy overall.

  • Although working intensively in EMDR is a time commitment, it doesn’t necessarily feel more intense than hourly EMDR. Because EMDR therapy rewires memory networks, we can work for several hours at a time to support new learning.

    An intensive session allows plenty of time for checking in, grounding. processing old experiences and integrating new learning.

  • Yes! I love offering adjunct EMDR work to individuals who have a long-term relationship with another therapist. For adjunct EMDR, I will collaborate with your primary therapist (after you sign a release) as we create your treatment goals.

  • Although everyone’s experience with trauma is unique, generally for a single-incident trauma, such as a car accident or an assault, processing can often be effectively addressed in a 1-2 day intensive.

    Extensive trauma or childhood trauma generally require an extended approach.

    Before scheduling the intensive, we will meet for an initial interview, after which we will create a customized intensive schedule tailored to your specific needs.

  • I charge $185/per hour. A 90 minute appointment is $275 and a 2 hour session is $370.

    A structured 10-hour EMDR Intensive Program is $2000. It includes a specialized EMDR Intensive Workbook and a follow-up interview. Additional hours can be added if desired.

    Because I reserve the day for you, I require a 50% deposit to hold the dates of your Therapy Intensive. Full payment will be collected at the end of the last day of your Intensive.

  • No. In order to provide the most effective and high quality services, I do not work directly with any insurance companies. All appointments are considered fee-for-service, meaning you are expected to pay for the appointment fee at the time of service. My fees are competitive with specialist rates in the area.

    I am a private pay provider. All of my services are private pay - with a credit card, FSA, or HSA. I can provide you with the necessary paperwork (superbill / receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement for a portion of the session fee.

    I am currently a private-pay, out-of-network provider. While I don't accept insurance directly, your insurance plan may have out-of-network benefits, which means that they will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost.

    Additionally, I have partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. With Thrizer, you may only have to pay a copay for our sessions, instead of paying my full fee and waiting for reimbursements. This typically allows clients to save on average 70% upfront on our sessions. Reach out to Thrizer to see if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your copay would be.

  • No, I have signed the Medicare Opt-Out form, which means that you may not submit a reimbursement claim to Medicare.

  • I do! I offer a limited 12-hour sliding scale program for clients who wish to work with me on targeted treatment goals and are not able to pay my full fee.

    Please note that this program is at capacity, but I am happy to put you on a waitlist or help find a referral.

  • Contact your insurance provider directly.

    Additionally, I work with Thrizer, a company that helps clients get reimbursed. You may also can check with Thrizer to see what your out=of-network benefits are and whether your insurance company will cover part of an intensive.

  • I am located at 343 S. Main St., Suite 208 in downtown Ann Arbor. Please note that I am located on the second floor of a historic building that is not handicapped accessible.

  • Yes, I offer covid-aware in-person services. I ask that in-person clients be vaccinated against covid.

  • Online EMDR therapy works similarly to in-person services. However, with virtual EMDR, the therapist and client are in separate locations, connected via technology. I currently a HIPAA-compliant version of Google Meet for my telehealth appointments and either tapping or a web-based program called bilateralstimulation.io.

  • No. Unfortunately, my office is located on the second floor of a historic building that does not have an elevator. If you have mobility issues, online therapy is an option. We can also find another location that is accessible to you.

  • While I generally work with adults, I will do intensive or adjunctive work with a motivated teen (16+). My after-school availability is limited.
